Overview
At NIS Gazprom, I worked on web systems and digital platforms used in a large energy business.
The challenge
Busy, content-heavy websites needed better performance and features that ready-made content management tools didn't provide.
The approach
Custom PHP applications and WordPress plugins, alongside targeted improvements to how the platforms handled large amounts of content and traffic.
My part in the project
I built PHP web applications, internal tools, and custom WordPress plugins. I also worked on WordPress performance with large datasets, using frameworks including Laravel and CodeIgniter on other web applications.
What changed
The work helped keep the platforms stable and improved the speed and reliability of websites with large amounts of content.
Where it is now
The internal NIS teams continued to maintain and develop the platforms.
