The Problem
Healthcare software requires strict compliance, and the existing Backbone/CoffeeScript stack needed modernization for long-term sustainability.
The Solution
Incremental migration from legacy stack to React while maintaining ongoing feature development.
My Contribution
Developed and maintained frontend systems in legacy Backbone/CoffeeScript codebase. Stepped into senior role after previous senior engineer departed. Mentored multiple junior developers. Worked on Sadio patient platform and Practice Management System. Led major frontend migration to React.
Impact & Results
Successfully transitioned multi-year healthcare product to modern frontend architecture. Improved long-term maintainability. Built and mentored a strong frontend team with lasting impact.
